A StreetEasy market report published this week showed, among other things that the median price for non-new construction apartments in Queens is $513,000, up a sizable 9.3 percent from the same time last year. Still, apartments in the borough are a deal compared to the $754,000 median in Brooklyn, and given that the median is the middle of the price spectrum, there are quite a few on the market that are listed for less.

We rounded up five apartments from around Queens that are for sale for less than $500,000, all of which are having open houses this weekend. Here's an idea of what's out there.
